1. Workshop on Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory Quality Assurance System- Principles; Implementation; Monitoring; and IATA training course on Dangerous Goods Class 6.2. regulation

- Target: Quality Assurance Manager and Senior responsible for AI diagnosis/country


- Session 1: West Africa French speaking countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cap-Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo (10 countries); Venue: Dakar (Sénégal) – May/June

- Session 2 : West Africa English speaking countries: Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone (5 countries);Venue: Accra (Ghana) – May/June

- Session 3 : Central Africa French speaking countries: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo DR, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome & Principe (8 countries); Venue: Garoua (Cameroun) –June/July

2. AI and ND serological proficiency test for Group 1 and Group 2 laboratories

Country: Cap-Verde, Congo Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Sao Tome & Principe, Sierra Leone and Togo) and the 5 laboratories of Group 2 (Benin, Chad, Central Africa Republic, Guinea Conakry and Democratic Republic of Congo – September/December

3. AI and ND serological and molecular proficiency tests for Group 3 laboratories

Country: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria and Senegal - September/December

4. Laboratory’s Network Annual Coordination Meeting

- Target: Laboratory Executive Manager and Head of virology

- Country: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cap-Verde, Central Africa Republic, Chad, Congo DR, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo; 30 November – 4 December

5. Rapid assessment of national Vet Lab of Ghana, Niger and Togo in West Africa; Chad and Gabon in Central Africa

6. Specific bench trainings for technical staff of national laboratories of Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Cape Verde, Gabon and Togo

7. On-site technical assistance to laboratories experiencing difficulties in the implementation of AI and other TAD diagnosis

8. Support field surveillance teams training in priority diseases recognition and diagnostic sample collection

9. Establish/Strengthen links with public health epidemiology and laboratory agencies involved in zoonosis surveillance, diagnosis and control

10. Contribute to region’s diseases prioritization and encourage regional and national projects submission initiatives to donors for priority diseases (i.e. FMD, rabies, RFV, PPA, PPR etc..)

12. Strengthen partnerships in training and capacity building
