Goals

OVERALL GOALS

Help improve the overall situation of animal health in West and Central Africa and in so doing participate in the food self-sufficiency effort and to poverty alleviation through healthy and abundant animal production.

SPECIFIC GOALS

Revitalize national epidemiosurveillance networks through emulation of models and exchange of relevant information, and the training of national network officers (regional focal points).

Harmonize the structure of the networks (notably articulation between field level surveillance and diagnosis) and support the setting up of realistic and operational strategic surveillance plans (including performance indicators).

Improve the reporting (Glews and Wahis tools) and capitalization of data through the establishment of support of a special unit (TAD info software) and a mapping service (GIS)
