A technical partnership between FAO and SYNBIOTICS
On technical and tools of diagnosis of animal diseases in particular IAHP.
A professional exchange took place recently within a framework of technical partnership, pass between ECTAD FAO and SYNBIOTICS.
After the mission of an expert of SYNBIOTICS in January 2009 in Chad, within the framework of the Project OSRO / CHD / 602 / EC, financed by EU and implemented by FAO-ECTAD, and its participation in the training [1] of field agents of the national network of surveillance in Chad, the CTP (from ECTAD) of the Project OSRO is meeting in Lyon, the DG, the team of production, the staff loaded with the RD (research for and developpement) and followed the manufacturing process of kits.
It should be added that LAB SYNBIOTICS has doubled gracefully the amount of kits ordered by the project OSRO in Chad (60 limp with 20 fast tests IAHP), providing during the mission of the expert in Chad, 60 additional box to the coordination of the project, in order to equip in a optimal way the monitoring network(REPIMAT), including the 56 heads of livestock sector and 199 surveillance officers.
We can consider that the network of Chad (the REPIMAT) is equipped with powerful tools of quick diagnosctic to respond to a suspicion of HPAI.
During the visit of the laboratory, fruitful exchanges of experiences have benn realised between the CTP of the project OSRO and the team of SYNBIOTICS, in particular for developp new kits of diagnosis, adapted at the conditions of field in Africa.
These processes belong in the course of reflection to SYNBIOTICS, further to the realized contacts of ground and further to the discussions with the various experts lab and épidémio of FAO. Business to be followed.
