3rd Nigeria International Poultry Summit

22-26 February 2009, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria

The World’s Poultry Science Association, Nigeria Branch instituted a bi-annual international poultry meeting in 2005, named ‘Nigeria International Poultry Summit or NIPS’.
The third edition of NIPS was held from 22nd to 26th February 2009 at Dheb Michael Events and Halls, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. The event, with the theme “Poultry Production in West Africa: Towards Millennium Development Goals”, was attended by around 250 participants from 9 countries (Australia, Belgium, Iran, Israel, Mali, Netherlands, Nigeria, UK and USA). They were local, international experts and other stakeholders in the poultry industry to exchange knowledge in order to produce an acceptable, authentic and up-to-date information on the state of poultry industry worldwide with special emphasis on Nigeria and Africa.
